Safest Method

Safe Method
Scan your photo and print a copy.

Unfortunately, when I scanned my photograph, there was so much glare on the glass that the scans were unusable.
I was able to produce a reasonably good paradigm by taking a picture at an bending with my iPhone to reduce the glare and then adjusting the perspective in Photoshop. However, I idea the colour was besides washed out, and I wasn't satisfied with the final product.
Other Methods (Which May or May Not Exist Safe)

My Results
Overall, I was pleased with the results from using the h2o-soaking method.
After being stuck for 30+ years, the soaking process took about 36 hours before the photograph was completely gratis from the glass. I may have kept it submerged for too long, merely the photo stubbornly refused to let get of the glass, and I was afraid of causing further harm past forcing it.
The ripped section of the photograph curled up after drying. I contemplated gluing it down, just I didn't want to cause whatever additional damage to the photo with an adhesive. Instead, I used a pile of heavy books to flatten the image and left it sitting for near a week (I really forgot nearly information technology for a few days). The image itself is slightly warped now, simply I don't whether that is from the water or from being in the frame. But the ripped department that was curled is now completely flat.
My simply thwarting was that the photographer'southward golden logo that had been stamped on the front of the photo came off in the h2o. Thankfully, the sticker with his studio name and copyright is nevertheless securely attached on the dorsum.
